How to recruit a patient.
1. Please check inclusion and exclusion criteria
2. When all therapeutic options of stage 2 are exhausted and ICP remains > 25 mmHg for 1-12 hours complete randomisation sheet. Randomisation sheet can be printed out or filled in electronically (version 7.0 or above of free Adobe Reader is required).
3. Obtain consent from next of kin if not already available.

5. Fax or email randomisation sheet to +44 1223 414396 / liz@rescueicp.com
6. Complete data collection sheets, including daily physiological data.
7. When the patient is discharged from ITU, please post the data collection sheet to Miss E Corteen at:
